Wine Tasting Event is September 30!
Mark your calendar for Sunday, September 30, 2007, 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., and plan to enjoy a special wine tasting for our Resident Members!
We will be at Vin Classic Wines, located at 5717 Legacy Drive, next to Firesides Pies in Plano.
Come sample and learn more about some fabulous wines and meet your soon-to-be neighbors.
The Legacy Has "Topped Out"!
Have you driven by the site recently and wondered about the evergreen tree and flags atop the building? These elements mark a construction milestone - the "topping out" of the building.
"Topping out" is the term used by ironworkers to indicate that the final piece of steel is being hoisted into place on a building, bridge, or other large structure. The project is not completed, but it has reached its maximum height. To commemorate this first milestone, the final piece of iron is usually hoisted into place with a small evergreen and an American flag attached.
In celebration, the construction crew on The Legacy project held a "topping out" party, and we'll share photographs from the event in an upcoming e-newsletter.
With all the roofing completed on all buildings, our construction crew is moving indoors. They are installing windows and doors, and once all the water proofing has been finished, they will begin the interior phase of construction.
Our crews have been hard at work this summer; and, even with all the rainfall we've had, we are still on track for our Spring 2008 opening!

Good News on the Home Front
A recent article in The Wall Street Journal included Dallas among U.S. cities experiencing the biggest increases in home prices. According to Standard & Poor's, the June 2007 price index was up 1.6 percent from a year earlier.
