Happy Fourth of July!
We wish you and your family a safe and happy Fourth of July! The fourth is a great opportunity to get together with family and friends and celebrate!
The Legacy at Willow Bend is a proud first-year participant in The City of Plano's 4th of July Parade. The parade will begin at 9:30 am. The parade route is Independence Parkway, starting at Plano Senior High School (on Park Street); going North to Spring Creek Parkway, then East on Spring Creek Parkway ending at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church.
We hope to see you at the parade. Be on the lookout for The Legacy at Willow Bend's decorated convertible.
Here are some other festivities in the area you may want to enjoy today.
Plano July 4th Fireworks: 9:30 pm at Oak Point Park at 2801 Spring Creek Parkway. Free parking available at CCCC and First United Methodist Church Plano.
Star Spangled 4th: Historic downtown Garland, art, car and motorcycle show, parade and fireworks. Free
17th Annual Forever Free: 5 pm - 11 pm at Myer's Park & Event Center in McKinney. 7117 County Road 166. An Independence Day celebration with music, exhibitions, Kids Zone and fireworks. Event is free, parking is $5.00.
Lone Stars and Stripes Fireworks Celebration: 3 pm -11 pm at Lone Star Park in Grand Prairie. Pony rides, bounce houses and fireworks after the last race.
City of Bedford 4th Fest: 10 am - 11 pm at 2801 Forest Ridge Drive in Bedford. Carnival, street performers, concert, parade and fireworks. Free.
Red, White & Lewisville: 6 pm - 11 pm at Vista Ridge Mall. Entertainment in the mall during the day, outside the mall in the evening and fireworks after dark. Free.
Quad Cities Family 4th: 9:30 pm at the North Richland Village Center, 6351 Boulevard 26 in Richland Hills.
Patriotic Concert & Fireworks Celebration: 5 pm - 10 pm at Williams Square Plaza at 5215 North O'Connor Boulevard in Las Colinas in Irving. The Irving Symphony Orchestra will put on a concert starting at 8:30 pm. Food and beverages will be available.
Book Club Meeting
Grab your favorite book from the shelf and join us at our Book Club meeting on Thursday, July 12th. We will be discussing books that attendees bring in order to decide on the first book for the club.

Construction Update
The Legacy at Willow Bend will be opening soon! Once construction finishes, our community will house over 100 luxury independent living apartments, 40 assisted living rooms, 18 memory support units, 60 skilled nursing beds and on top of that, provide you with exquisite commons areas that offer fine dining, a library, business center, game room, barber shop, beauty salon and swimming areas!
Construction crews are currently underway on another lavish villa and are completing the fourth floor of the independent living apartments. Roofing should be completed soon on the memory support building and the oversized swimming pool in the commons area has been excavated.
